This instruction guide will walk you through updating TP-Link drivers. The built-in driver supports the basic functions of your TL-WN823N hardware. I've just purchased a TP-Link WN823N v3 dongle for a Pi2B that will be left in a cupboard monitoring an energy meter, and very nearly regretted it.
